an exhibit recently concluded at the high museum of art in downtown atlanta, yet it has been residing in my mind since our visit last fall. …the materials!…the colors chosen!…statements made!..the scale of both the visuals + the shared body of work! …it was mind-blowing in the very best possible way.
as a designer, i find i’m forever captivated by the use of color + the many ways artists employ various mediums across the spectrum of the arts. be it dance, painting, photography, architecture or another expression. while i don’t claim to know much about fashion, i do consider myself a student + admirer of the art form, always. who wouldn’t want to sit along a runway in paris, milan or london? a girl must be prepared if such an opportunity were ever to arise! having even a peek into another creative’s mind lends such inpiration, momentum + often the push i’ve been seeking for a long time to follow.
here i’m sharing some images captured of this, one of the most exhilarating displays of art we have seen at the high, perhaps ever?! it’s my hope that you too may find a little something in these scenes, as i did.
